Theatre – 12 foot backdrops tell the story

Three 12-foot backdrops Aladdin Bubbleland

    • Working with Dundee Junior Showtime on Margaret Mather’s story of Aladdin Meets Bubbles
There are three parts to the story: Aladdin and Princess Alara begin life in their city: Aladdin is the son of the launderess (Wishy Washy’s laundry). They travel to Bubbleland on a quest for happiness, and end up in the Throne room with everyone living happily ever after.

These were painted on dust sheets, the sort that painters use as furniture covers, with melted paper on one side and plastic on the other. Very light. Had to be painted nailed up against a wall, and folded, so that three levels were painted separately. It would be nice to have a barn sized studio!
Dundee Junior Showtime is a singing-acting-dancing group for kids in Dundee run by Margaret Mather (Scottish folksinger and singing tutor) and her team of excellent actors and back stagers – well done team. DJS is a great chance for Anyone to Get On – Margaret sends out some of her folks who go on professionally. Many thanks to Margaret for letting me help out.
